With the keyword model your website might be relevant for a search but if you haven't included the right keywords that people will search you probably won't get thousands of visits.
Don't forget though about LSI. Latent Semantic Indexing means that related topics like Rory Mcilroy to Caroline Wozniacki will increase your chance of many many visits. If you talk about something using someone related to the main topic of your blog but not the main topic you can take advantage of LSI.
